Using Kiosk Mode on iPads with Flow Kiosk
Flow Kiosk was built with the objective of setting up kiosk mode on iPads as easy as possible for any user. You do not need to be an expert with iPads or computers to enable kiosk mode and security with Flow Kiosk. Beyond the information and interactions of a kiosk, security is the primary feature of kiosk software. In the ‘kiosk software‘ article on Wikipedia, the authors says “kiosk software locks down the application in order to protect the kiosk from users.”
With Flow Kiosk, we have two levels of security. We have our own ‘kiosk mode’ which locks Flow Kiosk into the ‘view’ mode of a specific presentation (of Flow). Additionally, Flow Kiosk leverages the iPad’s Guided Access feature. Guided Access restricts the user to single app so when enabled and activated, the user cannot leave Flow Kiosk (in this case).
